Aziz
Ahmad is CEO and co-founder of Vonair Inc, a firm focused on developing
client applications for the VoIP and Video IP wireline and wireless
markets. Aziz is also CEO of UTC Associates, a leading systems and
network integration professional services company. Previously, he
served as Director of Service Provider Solutions at Thrupoint, where
he was responsible for developing and introducing a broad range
of IT and Telecommunication solutions. Prior to joining Thrupoint,
Aziz managed the network design and development efforts for AT&T
Local Services (formerly Teleport Communication Group) in areas
of multiservices broadband technology and packetized voice. He holds
B.E. and M.E. degrees in Electrical Engineering from The City College
of New York (CUNY).
Anil
Balani
Anil
Balani is CTO and co-founder of Vonair Inc. Anil is also Managing
Director, System & Technology of UTC Associates. Previously,
he served as Global Director for VoIP & Video for Carrier and
Enterprise Markets at Global Crossing. Earlier, Anil founded Mobile
Matrix, Inc., a provider of location-based RFID solutions and continues
as advisor to the company. Anil also was a founding partner at Coreon,
a Kleiner Perkins-financed startup company. Coreon was the first
end-to-end managed operations ASP (Applications Service Provider)
for the telecommunications market. Anil's educational background
includes a B.S. and B.E.E. from NYU and Cooper Union, and M.S.,
MSEE, and M.B.A. from University of Dallas and SMU.
Geoffrey K. Hicks
As vice president of operations, Geoffrey Hicks is responsible for
directing BroadSoft's global operations, including deployment, project
management, professional services, and technical support. Hicks
joined BroadSoft in 2006, bringing over 25 years of senior management
experience in global network management and operations, voice and
data engineering, and technical business development.
Previously, Hicks founded CNV Group, LLC, a global telecommunications
consulting practice where he served as president. Before CNV Group,
Hicks served as an executive officer for Primus Telecommunications
Inc., where he was instrumental in significant capital and operating
expense reductions while preparing the company for next-generation
technology and product deployments for both consumer and enterprise
VoIP markets.
Prior to Primus, Hicks held executive positions at Guidecomm Systems
Inc., E.spire, and MCI. Hicks was also a member of the founding
executive team of Concert Communications, acting as senior technical
advisor for several international agreements creating network infrastructures in Canada, Latin America, and Europe.
Scott
Hoffpauir
Scott
Hoffpauir is Chief Technology Officer for BroadSoft, Inc, and is
responsible for guiding the technical vision and direction for BroadSoft
as well as promoting continuous product innovation. Prior to co-founding
BroadSoft and serving as its Vice President, Engineering since 1998,
Scott was Director of GSM Development at Celcore (DSC/Alcatel USA).
In this role, Scott was responsible for all product development
on the GSM switching product, including system architecture, product
requirements, software development, hardware development, system
test/integration and product/ customer support. Before Celcore,
Scott was senior architect for Nortel's GSM and Inter-Exchange Carrier
switching systems. Scott holds multiple patents in the GSM, SIP,
call processing and switching areas. He is a graduate of the University
of Louisiana Lafayette.
